Liviu Dumitru was born in 1981 and grew up near Bucharest, Romania. He graduated high school with a focus on mathematics and computer science, followed by a degree in Marketing and Management from the Faculty of Economic Studies.
His passion for computers started in high school, when his family bought him his first personal computer. From that point forward, technology became the foundation of both his career and personal projects. He started his first business at 20 — managing internet cafés — and has been building web-based products ever since.
Over the past two decades, Liviu has designed and developed software for real estate platforms, travel accommodation marketplaces, key management hardware systems, rental businesses, and various private and public sector clients. He has also been involved in numerous collaborations with companies across different industries.
Started entrepreneurial activity at 20, managing two internet café rooms while developing his programming skills hands-on.
Built a family real estate website that became the foundation of a company still active today.
Co-created and managed a local accommodation booking platform (similar to Booking.com) for over 10 years, growing it into one of the top tourism websites in Romania.
Designed and built a complete smart box for company key management — including mobile and web application software, touchscreen interface, microcontroller programming, 3D modeling, and 3D printing.
Created a production-ready, free two-factor authentication service built with Ruby on Rails 7. Published as open-source on GitHub with full documentation and a companion technical book.
